Acrylic, Pigment & Chalk on Paper

I've always been fascinated by what escapes the eye.

My paintings begin where the visible world becomes uncertain. Landscapes dissolve into light, reflections, weather and memory.

I paint intuitively. Using paper, pigment, chalk, acrylic, rough sponges and simple tools, I let the painting reveal itself through movement, friction and chance. What matters isn't describing a place, but allowing something living to emerge. I don't paint landscapes as they are.

I paint the invisible currents I sense moving through them.

Painting is my way of sharing a sense of wonder, however impossible it is to fully translate it into matter.
